I had 20+ Backend Developers closure through Instahyre

Image
Hands down over the course of 7 months that I’ve been involved in Technology hiring, all my closures, that equates to more than 25, in the past 7 months were through Instahyre. Aditya Rajgarhia has made it super easy for us recruiters to reach the right talent related to technology hiring. Here’s how the platform works -  Publish the job post, with descriptive Responsibilities keep it as crisp and transparent as possible.  The skillset for example frontend, backend, Java, PHP, React, and Angular, mention the skills. Keep it as relevant as possible.  Let the algorithm do the magic.  Correct me if I’m wrong, but Instahyre’s algorithm works magic. Your job post may have 4 active applications. Still, the way the segment on the UI is bifurcated for employers/recruiters to view Active, Passive candidates the recommendation gives you the right match, almost all the time. A set of Active candidates gives you an edge to meet the right talent at the right time, since th...

How I had a closure of 1.06 Cr in my early stage Tech Recruitment Days

Image
Now, we all know how Engineers are paid too damn well these days. Some may say overpaid, but not me. I’ve been told for every penny they’re paid it’s worth it because on a hard day it is the coders that save a tech company when the servers crash, when there’s a bug in a particular code, when production issues occur, or maybe more. I’m not a core Tech Recruiter, as my blog already outlays that but I’ve had my fair bit of help and research done on the internet that helped me survive my early Tech Recruitment days. It helped me understand the basics, it helped me stay afloat.  I’ll list a very helpful Youtube channel that I discovered via Coursera (I don’t remember how don’t ask). Now this Content Creator makes it very simple to understand and comply with multiple jargon that I’ve come across during my journey. For example; LLD, Azure, Monolith Architecture, Cloud, Microservices, APIs, Backend, and Frontend. I learned, listened, made mental notes, and helped myself prepare and underst...

Free Job Portals (2)

Image
In continuation to my Blog earlier, where I've mentioned about all the Job Portals that are absolutely free to use, as I pen down this blog, incase if you haven't read it, click here . Further more adding a part 2 to the series, because why not? 1. iimjobs iimjobs just like updazz has a similar interface, what I've learnt overtime is, iimjobs is more suitable for marketing & sales related profiles. For ex. your hiring for a Sales Manager, a job post of iimjobs for the mentioned requisition would bring you more traction compared to any other role. iimjobs is absolutely free to use. You can post unlimited job posts and promote the job posts simultaneously in order to get more traction/application. Link: https://recruit.iimjobs.com/login 2. Instahyre Instahyre has been a hub for me for the past couple of months to source the required requisition that was offered to me. Here's the thing, I've been offered to work on Tech roles for the past 6 months and to source Sof...

Free Job Portals

Image
Job portals that are free and easily accessible to any individual wishing to start out as a young Human Resource Professional. Any job portal present on the internet would require you to first set up a company profile, for this you'll need all the basic details of the organization which would be relevant for that particular job portal. Always advisable to have your company logo added the first thing followed by the rest of the details. The list of job portals present here are mainly focused on attracting talents for your firm, these differ from sourcing, they're mainly focused on receiving applications once you have your job posted. 1. Updazz Updazz is a blessing in disguise, it works like any other job portal, its absolutely free and easily accessible. You can post as many Job Openings as possible, so far I've uploaded an approximate 10 Job Openings and they haven't forced me to promote the job to sustain. A few key points to remember: they do give you an option to pro...

Virtual Employee Engagement Activities

Image
Turbulent times, a lot of changes in the past few months, amidst the chaos, I started a journey, a journey to be an HR, while I was single-handled told what my responsibilities would be, which time and again would only be clear by some communication gap, but it did make sense after a certain sometime.  The journey has been 5 months short, I'm still going strong, would call it short because that's how it's perceived in the industry, that's made to make us feel like machines, not complaining about my job, I've had a journey and I've been moving along on the ride. Now, in this journey, I've had the main challenge that was cumbersome to me but after reading and interacting with a couple of professionals it happened to be a subject of worrying for quite a lot of them. How do we keep our employees engaged, has been a challenge for every HR folks for quite some time since most of them have started working from home, and with the possibility of working from home, th...
