How I had a closure of 1.06 Cr in my early stage Tech Recruitment Days

Now, we all know how Engineers are paid too damn well these days. Some may say overpaid, but not me. I’ve been told for every penny they’re paid it’s worth it because on a hard day it is the coders that save a tech company when the servers crash, when there’s a bug in a particular code, when production issues occur, or maybe more. I’m not a core Tech Recruiter, as my blog already outlays that but I’ve had my fair bit of help and research done on the internet that helped me survive my early Tech Recruitment days. It helped me understand the basics, it helped me stay afloat.

I’ll list a very helpful Youtube channel that I discovered via Coursera (I don’t remember how don’t ask). Now this Content Creator makes it very simple to understand and comply with multiple jargon that I’ve come across during my journey. For example; LLD, Azure, Monolith Architecture, Cloud, Microservices, APIs, Backend, and Frontend. I learned, listened, made mental notes, and helped myself prepare and understood what it exactly means to speak to developers. Mind you, recruitment can be tricky. I come with zero experience in Tech Recruitment, but while learning and speaking help me build this confidence, with days and months to come, everything seemed comparatively easy.

Now, understand how I had a closure for 1.06 Cr within the first two months of my career. I worked on multiple mandates during the given project. And I had the freedom and aptitude to hire for senior roles simultaneously. While my resource was hired for a Principal role, it wasn’t very difficult getting a closure here. The tool I primarily made use of is Instahyre. It was an algorithm skill match that helped me reach the right candidate. Turns out the candidate was genuine and honestly inclined to the project we were hiring for. Since I had a fat budget that could help me accommodate the expectation, the situation sailed through.

The conversation I had with the candidate was genuine and to the point. While having him interviewed he seemed like a perfect match to my stakeholders, he was a developer from a MAANG-based organization and is currently employed with the organization I was associated with. I had the right focus and approach, it makes it easy when candidates are real, honest, and trust the project. The industry that I catered to as a whole was a pretty exciting subject to touch upon some may be fearful of the fact that it could be extinct somewhere down the line but with the right approach and perfect sense of reach nothing is impossible.

As promised here is the link to the Youtube Content Creator I very much followed religiously to help me sail through. Gianluca Rosania. Gianluca is a genius and makes Tech Recruitment seem easy.
